Motion Portraits: Six Year Old Claire

We at The Pod Photograph are incredibly excited to roll out our new product “Motion Portraits.” When I was in Italy over the Summer looking at Renaissance Portraits of royalty: with their fancy costumes, fruit, musical instruments, hunting gear and other objects that defined who they were I told my husband “I want to bring that sensibility into my portraits!” The current style of photography is very clean and minimalist and I don’t know how many of my clients want to lug in their bicycles and other defining objects to the studio… so I kept thinking about this idea until I thought of Portraits in Motion. The idea is very documentary based – with me interviewing a child somewhere between the ages of 4 and 13 to paint a picture of who they are, what their world view is and who they aspire to be when they grow up. We have teamed up with a very talented videographer to bring this vision to life and will be adding this as well as add-on video services to  our sessions soon.  We would love your feedback on this very first video!
