A lot of our clients like to go ALL OUT when it comes to their first birthday cake smash photo session, and we’ve done so many crazy things around here at our Santa Monica portrait studio from giving a Pomeranian a lion-cut for a circus theme, to cakes decorated like Japanese cartoon character Anpanman, even creating a miniature Beverly Hills Hotel setup just the right size for a one-year-old!
But sometimes it’s nice to just keep it simple. There was no particular theme for Miss Kaitlyn’s first birthday photo shoot, mom and dad just wanted the photos to be all about her and to showcase her cute little pigtails. This simple gray and white setup kept the focus on Kaitlyn with a little color pop of teal and a second setup a little more styled for summertime. We just love the classic styling for her!
