Life and the time a child is a “baby” is fleeting. In my line of work I am constantly reminded of time passing because I’ll see a baby for her newborn pictures one day and then then before I know it they are calling again for 7 month or one year pictures! I’m always surprised at how quickly the time has passed – as I’m sure are the parents!
I met this lovely family the first time for Chloe’s newborn pictures, and they have quickly become one of our favorite Pod Families. Mom always has fun ideas for their photo sessions – like a cute Christmas snow bunny theme back in December – and they just exude love and family whenever around.
For their family cinematography, we wanted to capture their day in the life story at home. They loved the idea of documenting their evening route en – which consisted dad playing guitar, family bath time and story time. When they told me that dad is a musician and wrote a song for his little girl I was so excited, and even more thrilled that he was nice enough to record it for the film. Adding personal touches that enhance the visual story are what it’s all about!
The tricky thing about babies – is that their time between naps are so quick! With this little lady we knew in advance that we had about a two hour window between when she woke up from her last nap of the day and when she went to bed. It was a bit of a whirlwind of different musical instruments, eating and outdoor playtime – but luckily this little lady was a champ and rolled with all of the activities!
