When Newborns Smile…

it just warms my heart! After a few years of being a newborn photographer I’ve learned to see a smile coming on a newborn’s face. It always happens when they are falling deeper asleep, and typically when they are comfy cozy on our furs underneath our ceiling heaters. Their little eyes start to flutter and sometimes they start to purse their lips a bit …that’s when I stand still as a statue with my finger on the camera’s trigger ready for a smile…. and then I just wait until I get a HUGE smile for a split second! There is nothing more precious than a newborn smile, and nothing more satisfying than capturing that fleeting little moment. Baby Grayson  gave us just one smile – but oh what a big one it was!
