It always makes for a fun shoot when we have a gorgeous family and spunky little kiddos! Such a sweet shoot 🙂 We captured this family’s fun, candid pictures at Temescal Gateway park in Malibu or Pacific Palisades – people say both 🙂

We also love hiking at Temescal Park, here’s what a Yelper had to say about the hikes there:

“This is a great moderate-level place to hike on the Westside. The trails offer a solid work-out, with a nice mix of both hills and flat ground. From multiple vantage points, there are beautiful, expansive views of LA, including downtown, Santa Monica, the ocean, and Pacific Palisades.

I’ve been here on both sunny, warm days, as well as colder, cloudier days and enjoyed myself just the same. Yesterday, when we first ventured out here, it was pretty chilly and overcast, so our views on the way up to Skull Rock were mostly obscured by clouds. The colder weather made for a pleasant trek, and we also managed to see a family of deer eating in a pasture. On our hike down, the weather somehow improved, and we were treated to wonderful, clear views of the water and surrounding area.

The park provides restrooms, water fountains, picnic tables, and a shop at the bottom, so it has all the important, civilized things you might need. Parking is also a breeze, as there’s typically ample (free!) street-parking available along Temescal Canyon Rd. and Sunset Blvd.

The only downside I saw was that it was pretty crowded on the way up. We were very close to other groups, so we had to walk at their pace.  It might be best to come here on a weekday to avoid the crowds.

In terms of tips, be sure to bring your running/tennis shoes since a lot of the trails are rocky and have loose dirt that can get slippery. Also, as always, be sure to bring sunscreen, a water bottle, and snacks.”
